Baro is a multi-disciplinary design studio focused on creating clothing for everyday people who wish to explore their sartorial choices critically, and with deep intention. Based out of Karachi, and stemming from a love for research into the human experience of dressing. The clothing is strategically placed at a nexus of functional and playful—allowing the wearer to cultivate a transitional wardrobe for their own unique routine. We work with industrial dead stock fabric, two patternmakers, four tailors, one aari embroiderer and two dyers – this is our ecosystem of production. Sharp focus on tailoring, tonal intelligence and restraint – this drives our creative direction.

The Founder

Our primary point of sale has been Instagram for the first three years of our journey. Over those years, we built relationships centered around bodies, sizing challenges, the mechanics of our pieces, and intimate feedback from clients who have been wearing our pieces around their unique worlds of work, play, and everything in between. Although a website was needed for an easier user experience and better commerce, we encourage you to engage with us via email or DMs. You can come for the clothes and stay for the conversation.
